Welcome to Zhiwen Shi Group!
We are a highly interdisciplinary research group in low-dimensional materials and nano-optics. Our research interests lie in probing light-matter interactions in condensed matter systems, with an emphasis on novel physical phenomena emerging in low-dimensional materials, such as graphene, carbon nanotubes, hexagonal boron nitride and TMDs, as well as in nanoscale electro-optical devices made from such low-dimensional materials. We develop advanced near-field optical nano-imaging and spectroscopy technique that enables probing light-matter interactions at deep sub-wavelength scale.
We are affiliated with the School of Physics and Astronomy at Shanghai Jiao Tong University; Collaborative Innovation Center of Advanced Microstructures and Shenyang National Laboratory for Materials Science.
